Four suspects were arrested for being in possession of drugs, during an Intelligence Driver Operation conducted by Crime Prevention Members, SAPS and SAPS Reservists in Madadeni and oSizweni over the past week.
The first suspect was arrested while police were conducting the operation in the oSizweni policing area.
The 20-year-old suspect was found to be in possession of eight parcels of dry-loose dagga, wrapped in pink plastic packaging.

Police also found packages containing Nyaope mandrax tablets.
Together the drugs amounted to an estimated street value of around R8 000.
A second operation conducted in the Madadeni Section C policing area resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man, who was found to be in possession of dagga as well as mandrax.
Police received a tip-off informing them of another suspect who was believed to be selling drugs.

Upon arrival at the suspects house in Madadeni Section A, police found he too was in possession of dry-lose dagga and mandrax tablets.
Police then proceeded to a third house in Madadeni Section B, where they arrested a 35-year-old suspect for also being possession of mandrax tablets.
All four suspects will be appearing in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court soon.
