This morning was one such occasion where parts of Vryheid were left without running water following a burst pipe at the corner of Mark and Deputation Streets yesterday.
Reports came flooding in about water flowing from hydrants in the area, but it was confirmed that the hydrants were opened to bring the water pressure down to allow for the pipe to be fixed.
According to Ward 9 Councillor, Alta de Kock, the pipe has been fixed and the water supply will be restored during the course of the day.
