Suspects arrested for vehicle theft in Ladysmith

Three suspects have been arrested by VCIU cops

The Ladysmith Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU) recently arrested suspects in cases of motor vehicle theft.

On Tuesday, December 26, a 28-year-old suspect was arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle which was taken from Ezakheni during November. The suspect appeared in court on December 28.

A second arrest was made in another motor vehicle theft case which occurred in Ekuvukeni on December 24.

VCIU officers spent the entire day on December 27 hunting for the suspect in Durban. The suspect, aged 28, was arrested and the stolen vehicle recovered. The suspect appeared in court on December 29.

In another incident, Colenso police officers arrested a suspect for the theft of a motor vehicle in Elandslaagte on  December 26. The 38-year-old suspect was found driving the stolen vehicle and the matter has been handed over to VCIU for investigation. The suspect appeared in court on December 29.
