Water is gushing out in Harrismith/Battery Road after thieves stole a water meter this morning (January 16).
A homeowner told the Ladysmith Gazette that the water meter is situated just outside his home and when he got up this morning, he noticed that he had “dry taps”.

When he went outside, he was surprised to see that his water meter had been stolen and that a jet of water was shooting up into the air.
He immediately phoned the uThukela Call Centre and they told him they would send someone to sort out the problem. The homeowner is still waiting for uThukela workers to arrive.
