Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality reveals grass cutting schedule

According to the verge trimming schedule submitted by the local municipality, grass cutting in some areas began on December 21

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has finally revealed their schedule for verge trimming in and around Estcourt.

As reported in last week’s Estcourt News verges in some parts of Estcourt have grown to new heights, almost waist high at the bottom of Connor Street, one of the town’s busiest streets.

Residential areas are not spared too, with the long grass creating an unkempt look.

According to the verge trimming schedule submitted by the local municipality, grass cutting in some areas began on December 21. These included main roads and public spaces in Weenen, Wembezi and Estcourt.

Residential areas, municipal buildings and pavements nears schools were reportedly started on January 8.

The local municipality advises residents that this schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and equipment breakdowns.
