With live wires exposed and the light pole tilted over, residents fear that this can be a great risk to homeowners, their pets and road users in the area. The electric cable can be dangerous to little children playing outdoors as well.

Residents have reported their concerns to the local municipality but to date nothing has been done.

Another nearby homeowner says he has had to devise his own source of alternative lighting, since he believes the darkness invites crime. Geoffrey Behrens Street homeowners hope the matter can be attended to with urgency.
