A 36-year-old suspect was arrested after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend’s other boyfriend at Koppie Allen Farm on January 2.
According to police reports, the deceased, 41-year-old, Skhumbuzo Mthabela, was visiting his girlfriend at Koppie Alleen Farm near Dannhauser.

The murder suspect who was also dating the same woman, saw the victim in a taxi with the woman, and gave chase after them.
Once the taxi came to a standstill, the suspect then brutally stabbed the victim in the stomach before fleeing the scene of the crime.
The victim, seriously wounded and bleeding was rushed to hospital, but was unfortunately pronounced dead before arrival.
It is speculated the deceased was a married man and a successful taxi owner from Gauteng.
A search operation was conducted by the SAPS, and the suspect was finally tracked down and arrested on January 6 at a residence in Ladysmith.
He appeared in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court on January 8, but the case was remanded to a later date, pending further investigation.
