SAPS arrest three suspects for possession of dagga

Three suspects were arrested for possession of dagga, during an Intellegence Driven Operation conducted by oSizweni Crime Prevention Units on Tuesday, January 9.

On arrival, police recovered two plastic bags containing dry loose dagga, weighing a total of 4 166 kilograms. A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this find.

Police proceeded to another dwelling in oSizweni Section A, where they recovered eight match boxes containing 0.089kilograms of dry loose dagga.

Three men, aged 28, 30 and 49 years old respectively, were arrested and charged with possession of dagga.

The recovered dagga was estimated to have a total street value of around R10 000.

All three suspects will appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court soon.

Investigations continue.
