Two men were brutally assaulted in Lennoxton this morning after what is believed to be a business deal gone wrong.
According to 50-year-old victim, Mandla Dube, he and three other workers approached a contractor about a recently completed job, and inquired about their payment.

Instead of answers, the four workers were attacked with crowbars and steel pipes.
“We were hired as sub-contractors and after completing the job, we submitted an invoice and they refused to pay us,” alleged Dube.
According to bystanders, the attackers ambushed the workers near Lennoxton Primary School.
“The group of men were arguing and using vulgar language, when one man attacked the other from behind while he was walking away,” claimed a bystander.
Two of the workers managed to escape the melee, and were chased down by the mob.

Emergency services and traffic officials arrived on the scene shortly after the attack.
The workers were treated for injuries sustained during the incident.
Police are aware of the situation and a response will be provided soon.
