The early part of 2018 is already beset by numerous potholes.
In the first month of the year, numerous motorists have taken to social media to bring attention to potholes in Newcastle roads.
Among these was a huge hole in Henrietta Street.
On January 10, a resident reported his tyre was burst and the rim buckled after striking the pothole near the Boundary Road intersection.
This pothole has since been filled in.
Official municipal response on the matter was received on Wednesday morning.
