AFRIFORUM Chairman for Vryheid, Andrè van der Walt has been keeping an eye on all things water related in Vryheid and this time he has great news for us.

Klipfontein Dam has been under the watchful eye and scrutiny of AfriForum for many months, claiming the spotlight for mostly disturbing news. However, in light of the often troubling information that has surfaced since Vryheid's water problems first began, the latest photos reveal something pleasantly positive, especially for those who have shown interest in the dam levels.

According to Andrè van der Walt, Klipfontein Dam is mere centimetres away from overflowing. This comes after a visit to the dam wall on January 26 showed the dam to be approximately 30cm short of overflowing and another visit, on January 30, revealed that this level had risen and the point of overflowing is just a matter of time away.
