Sewage spillage has escalated in recent months, with three incidents reported in the past week.
This has served to further highlight the failing sewage infrastructure.
The first spillage occurred near the Impala Drive intersection with the Memel Road.
A second spillage saw the length of Gemsbok Avenue flooded with waste water.
The third incident occurred on Lyell Street near the Scott Street intersection.
This resulted in the road being closed off for urgent repairs.
Officials from the Department of Water Services confirmed a burst pipe had caused the spillage.
