Residents of Tsakane have been without electricity since last night (February 7).
According to a community member who resides near the taxi rank area, his family went to sleep at about 10pm last night. When they awoke this morning, they realised there was no electricity.
It is believed that the power cut happened sometime before midnight.
Technicians are on site, trying to establish what the cause of the problem is.
At this stage, it is uncertain when power will be restored to the area.
