Residents left without water due to burst pipe

The pipe that burst is a main line

Residents in the Egerton, Steadville and Murchison Street areas have been without water since last night (February 14) as a result of a pipe burst in Egerton Road at about 10pm.

Water was seen gushing out of the pipe.

uThukela workers are currently attending to the matter.

The pipe that burst is a main line, thus resulting in the water outages in the above-mentioned areas.

A plumber at the scene stated that water should be available at about midday today.
