Another hiccup for flooding road repair in Papkuilsfontein

Road repairs in Papkuilsfontein experienced another hiccup when the tractor-loader-backhoe (TLB) used to excavate a deep trench, broke down.

After extensive flooding on the road, the local municipality sent a team to dig a large deep trench.

It is hoped that the future plans will alleviate flooding on this road, which occurs during times of heavy rainfall.

For a week, work stopped due to a breakdown.

Staff were back on site on Wednesday when the trench was was lengthened before they left at 12.45pm, leaving one household without access to their front yard.
