Unhappy with the state of the main street

A section of the road was dug up and filled with gravel

Business owners and employees are upset with the state of Murchison Street.

They complained in February, as a section of the road was dug up and filled with gravel.

That issue was resolved, with the section of road being repaired. However, it is now a larger section in front of businesses that has simply had gravel dumped on top of the road, causing an inconvenience for many.

“We pay rates and expect good maintenance in the area, but look at how they just leave the road in this state. My clients can’t even park,” one upset business owner commented.

The municipality has yet to comment on the matter.
