Police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig stated that on Saturday evening a man approached an employee at the drive through window on the pretext of buying something from a local franchised food outlet.
Instead he assaulted the employee with a bottle and grabbed a small amount of cash before fleeing.

The store which is situated at least a hundred metres away from the Ladysmith police station did not deter the brazen robbers from robbing the store.
Police and emergency services responded to scene.
Paramedics stabilized and treated the woman before transporting her to hospital.
No suspect has been arrested. Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
