Man arrested for being in possession of electricity cables

It is alleged that the man is responsible for illegal connections in the area

A tip-off from community members resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man on Sunday (March 11).

Ekuvukeni police officers rushed out to the Tholeni area, where they pounced on the suspect, who was in possession of electric cabling.

The suspect was unable to account for the cables found in his possession.

The cabling is valued at R1000.

He appeared in the Ekuvukeni Magistrate’s Court yesterday (March 12), facing a charge of being in possession of suspected stolen property.
