Special Programmes Unit host Disability Summit – (Gallery)

The aim of this summit was to address issues concerning people living with disabilities by making them aware of the relevant stakeholders.

The Newcastle Municipality Special Programmes Unit hosted a Disability Summit at the Rich View Civic Hall on March 6.

This was the recommendation by the Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA).

The aim of this summit was to address issues concerning people living with disabilities by making them aware of the relevant stakeholders.

It was also to ensure people living with disabilities were well informed of which departments were responsible to address issues they may have experienced.

Various discussions were held to educate attendees about the day.
