Ladysmith residents are wondering if we are still under water restrictions after all the rain we have been experiencing.
Well, guess what? We are!

Despite all the rain over the last few days, water restrictions are still in effect for Ladysmith.
According to uThukela communications manager Jabulani Mkhonza, as per the guide issued by COGTA during the previous JOC / Drought Committee meetings, water restrictions can only be lifted once our water levels have reached 70%.
At this point in time, we are evidently still below 70%, so water restrictions continue.
