Despite repeated warnings and signage, some locals have a penchant for illegally dumping waste.

In almost every residential area and some central business district areas, there is a vile corner where illegally dumped waste is amassing. Just like in Ninth Avenue, Forderville.

This street, like many others in and around Estcourt, is a dumping hotspot. From domestic to garden and everything in between, waste is dumped on the roadside.

At times, the dumped material spills onto the road, causing an obstruction for motorists. Residents are urged to place their domestic waste for collection on the specified days only.

Garden and building rubble may be dumped at the landfill site in Mimosadale. If you see someone illegally dumping, you may call the municipality to report it. If you are able to, note down the date and time and if a vehicle was used, the registration number. If possible, a photograph might help identify the culprit.
