Notice: Parts of Ladysmith left without water and electricity

The power outage has been reported and electricians are currently attending to the problem

Residents have been left in darkness and with no water since this morning (April 3).

Thus far, the areas affected are Hospital Park, Van Riebeeck Park, Old Golf Course and parts of the CBD.

The outage has been reported and electricians are currently on scene attending to the problem.

uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mkhonza has confirmed that they have no electricity at the Ladysmith Bulk Water Plant, hence they are unable to pump any water.

“The power outage has left no water or low water pressure in certain areas,” he added.

Mkhonza states that the power outage is causing damage to their electrical equipment, pumps and motors.
