There are serious risks attached to giving hitch-hikers a ride, since you do not know anything about the person/s you are allowing to climb into your vehicle.

A man was recently stabbed and robbed after picking up two unknown males.

They requested to be dropped off in the Ladysmith CBD. When the owner of the vehicle stopped for the men to get out, as arranged, the men became violent. They stabbed and robbed the man of his vehicle and personal belongings.
