The case regarding a matric pupil who was shot dead on September 18 in the Bergville area is still under investigation.
The suspect who was arrested for the shooting has been released and the case withdrawn due to insufficient evidence to proceed in court.

The learner had finished writing his first exam for the day and had one more exam to complete in the afternoon. He was killed outside the school before he could write his second examination.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward so that justice can be served.
