Update: Case of K9 officer being shot is provisionally withdrawn

The case involving the 35-year-old K9 police constable who was injured in a shoot-out with a murder suspect has been provisionally withdrawn.

The shoot-out occurred when police descended on a murder suspect’s house in Steadville in the early hours of Thursday morning, March 29.

The 35-year-old K9 officer sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

A 52-year-old suspect was arrested and is facing charges of murder and attack on police.
