You can help others by donating blood this Sunday
The SAI Organisation will be hosting a blood drive at Forderville Primary School Hall on April 22 from 10am

In South Africa less than one percent of the population donates blood. The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) in KwaZulu-Natal has to collect 500 units of blood a day to meet the demand of the hospitals.
Blood donors are heroes and heroines who donate blood voluntarily not expecting anything in return but they do it to save the lives of others.
Each unit of blood collected by SANBS is tested for syphilis, Hepatitis B and C and HIV using high sophisticated machines. This is the reason why blood in South Africa is the safest in the world.
The South African National Blood Service together with the SAI Organisation will be hosting a blood drive at Forderville Primary School Hall on April 22 from 10am till 2pm.
The SANBS is pleading with the community of Estcourt to come and donate their life saving blood.
One can donate if they meet the following requirements:
• Weigh 50kgs or more.
• Be between the ages of 16 and 65 years.
• Be in good health.
• Lead a sexually safe lifestyle.
• Know that your blood is safe for transfusion.
People can visit the website on www.sanbs.org.za or contact the toll free number 0800 119031 to get more information on blood donation.
You can also be a hero by donating blood.
