Morning raid nets suspect with drugs in Ladysmith

The drugs are valued at close to R2000

Ladysmith Visible Policing officers arrested a 36-year-old female in the taxi rank on Thursday morning (April 19).

The suspect was found in possession of 61 ‘whoonga’ capsules and R2000 in cash that is suspected to be the proceeds of crime.

She appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Friday, April 20), facing a charge of possession.

The drugs are valued at close to R2000.
