Domestic worker stumbles upon Mozambique Spitting Cobra in yard

The homeowners quickly contacted local snake expert Fanie Cilliers, who responded to the scene

A domestic worker got the fright of her life when she stumbled upon a Mozambique Spitting Cobra at a home in Pendy Lane recently.

The woman had just stepped out of the house and at first didn’t notice the snake on the paving.

Speaking to local snake expert Fanie Cilliers, he says that during this time of the year, Mozambique Spitting Cobras change to a dull blackish colour so they can draw heat faster into their bodies.

The homeowners quickly contacted Fanie, who responded to the scene and found the snake in the same place, basking in the sun.
