oSizweni suspects arrested for drug possession

A 20-year-old female was arrested at her place of residence, and charged with possession of drugs.

An Intelligence Driven Operation was conducted on Tuesday (April 17), with the assistance of oSizweni Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) members.

The CPU members were following up on information regarding drug dealers and similar cases in the oSizweni Policing area, after which they proceeded to a house in the Blaauwbosch area, at Mnguni Stand, oSizweni.

The operation yielded positive results as a 20-year-old female was arrested at her place of residence, and charged with possession of drugs.

She was found with two bags of dry loose dagga; the first one weighed around 139 kilogrammes, while the second weighed around 36g.

The street value of the drugs recovered was estimated to be R1 500.

The suspect will appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on April 18, on charges of drug possession.
