Man arrested for Ajantha Crescent break-in set to appear in court again today

It is alleged that the complainant disturbed the intruder, who was still in the house at the time

A man arrested for housebreaking and theft is set to appear in court today (May 2).

On Monday, April 2, between 4pm and 7pm, residential premises in Ajantha Crescent were broken into, and frames and pots were stolen.

Ladysmith police arrested a 24-year-old suspect in connection with the break-in.

It is alleged that the complainant disturbed the intruder, who was still in the house at the time.

It seems that the intruder is known to the complainant and allegedly used a duplicate key to enter the premises.

The suspect appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court and the case was adjourned. He is set to appear in court again today (May 2).
