2 men arrested for being in possession of drugs

Both suspects have appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate's Court

Two men, aged 29 and 36, were arrested by police on Thursday (April 26) for being in possession of drugs.

The 29-year-old was arrested in Kandahar Avenue after being found in possession of 10 pieces of rock cocaine. The ‘rock’ had been individually wrapped in plastic and has a street value of R3000.

Earlier in the day, officers raided a residence in Burma Road. There, they arrested a 36-year-old who was in possession of 36 ecstasy tablets and 50 pink and white ‘whoonga’ capsules.

The recovered drugs are valued at R1720.

Both suspects made an appearance in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Monday (April 30).
