A man and woman were found guilty of rape and robbery at Vryheid Regional Court on Friday, April 20.
The two, along with two other accomplices, are said to have broken into the home of a Vryheid couple in April last year and victimised the husband and wife.
The wife was raped and the suspects made off with her wedding ring, some clothes, gold earrings and a cellphone.

All of these items were found and safely given back to the rightful owners.
Both the man and his female accomplice were sentenced 30 years in prison, ensuring that the couple received justice for the vile crimes committed.
Identities have not been published as two other suspects in the case are still at large and are believed to be hiding out on a farm near Vryheid.
