The suspect accused of the murder of Warrant Officer Sascha Naidoo in June last year, appeared in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on April 4.
However, his trial was once again postponed as the mental evaluation reports had not been released, and was pending an appearance from the Director of Public Prosecution.

According to Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications and Liaison Officer, Captain Jabulani Ncube, the accused was admitted to Fort Napier in Pietermaritzburg late last year, and underwent a mental assessment.
The results of the assessment, as well as the appearance of the Public Prosecutor, should occur at the next trial date, which will be May 4.
