39-year-old Mzwandile Sithole was sentenced to ten years in prison, after being found guilty on charges of house burglary.
According to Dannhauser SAPS Corporate Communications and Liaison Officer, Sergeant Nyembe, the burglary occurred in 2015, when the accused assaulted and robbed an elderly man in his home.

“It’s alleged two suspects pretended to be seeking jobs. One of the suspects produced a firearm and demanded the victim hand over money and valuables.”
The suspects then fled the scene, taking with them R1 000 in cash.
The police were summoned and a manhunt was begun to locate the two men.
However, only one suspect was caught and charged with the crime.
Finally, justice was served, as the Dundee Regional Court handed down the prison sentence in April this year.
The whereabouts of the second suspects still unclear and the case will remain subject to continued police investigation.
