Update: Over 20 people injured in Sunday’s Helpmekaar Road crash
A minibus and a car were involved in the head-on collision
It has come to light that over 20 people were injured in the head-on collision between a minibus and a car on the Helpmekaar Road on Sunday (May 13).
The minibus was travelling towards Ladysmith at the time of the crash.
Emergency services responded to the scene.

It was initially reported that the jaws-of-life had to be used to extricate people from the wreckage and that four people were in critical condition.
It is now known that a further 19 people were injured in the crash.
