Lasec joins the Gandhi legacy

Ladysmith Secondary (Lasec) very proudly wrote its own chapter in the Mahatma Gandhi legacy when Grade 12 learner Thabang Mbhele was placed first in the ‘Mahatma Gandhi 125 Years Centenary Celebrations’ Essay Writing Competition.

To add to his achievements, Thabang had the unique privilege of reading his award-winning essay to a gathering of international celebrities at a special high-profile event which was held at the Pietermaritzburg Railway Station on Thursday (June 7) and beamed to two billion viewers worldwide.
