Free Masons to build a brand new jungle-gym for Esperanza Special Needs School

A generous amount of R10 000 was collected on the evening, and will now be used to rebuild the school's play area.

The children at the Esperanza Special Needs School are to benefit from the rebuild of the outdoor pay equipment.

The Newcastle Lodge 2097 EC recently held a mystical, medieval dinner at the lodge to raise much needed funds for the school.

A generous amount of R10 000 was collected on the evening, and will now be used to rebuild the school’s play area.

According to Dave Couper, the lodge will have a new junglegym constructed and installed at the school as well as a few other items for the benefit of the children.

Thereafter, the school will hold an open day in order to show off the new play equipment.

The Freemasons proudly handed over the cheque to Jennifer Pillay, from Esperanza, on Saturday, June 16.

She thanked the organisation for its help in raising the much-needed funds.
