MUST READ: SAPS need help identifying mutilated body found in oSizweni – (photos)

Police have been unable to identify the victim, and are now urging members of the public to assist with locating the victim’s family and to help identify him.

Newcastle SAPS are still appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information regarding the identity of an unknown male, whose mutilated body was found in oSizweni on May 21.

According to Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Ncube, the badly mutilated body of a man believed to be in his early 40s was discovered by a shepherd in the Ntendeka Mountains in oSizweni.

The body was missing its head and both hands and all the toes. The victim’s chest and stomach were both cut open.

Captain Ncube also confirmed both his heart and a lung had been removed from his body.

Police have been unable to identify the victim, and are now urging members of the public to assist with locating the victim’s family and to help identify him.

Newcastle detectives have now released images of the victim’s tattoos, which may possibly help in identifying him.
The tattoos include various tribal tattoos on his arm, shoulder and calf, a spiderweb tattoo on one shoulder and a Garfield tattoo on his right chest.
