The women have been exercising non-stop, and run a 25 kilometre route every day to get themselves in shape for the race.
“I am really excited about what we have achieved so far. Ever since we have started this journey with Esperanza Special Needs School, many people from all over Newcastle have showed their support, not only by registering for the Blood Buddy Memel to Newcastle Walk, but also by contributing directly to the school on a daily basis,” confirmed Pitout.
As part of its campaign to prepare for the Blood Buddy Memel to Newcastle Walk, Team LAL are inviting 100 people from Newcastle to put their hands up and pledge to “count me in,” under the hashtag #Club100.
These 100 people would then have the opportunity to challenge 10 friends, family members or businesses to also make the R100 pledge.
