#MandelaDay: Ithembalethu Outreach Project gives unselfishly to Wembezi

All the beneficiaries had their blood pressure checked, received medication and were given psycho-social support

To mark Mandela Day, Ithembalethu Outreach Project handed out 100 food parcels, 100 blankets, second-hand clothing and pita bread to the Wembezi community.

Wembezi community members received blankets to help warm up the cold winter nights.

All the beneficiaries had their blood pressure checked, received medication and were given psycho-social support by Sister Beata Msomi (professional nurse) and Social Worker Sindi Xaba.

The community care givers also screened locals for Tuberculosis (TB). Ms Xaba took the opportunity to inform the community of the services she provides both to the community and Ithembalethu Outreach Project.

The families were extremely grateful for the large food parcels. Ithembalethu Outreach Project team would like to thank Rashid Bhayla for donating two doors to fix a home for a female beneficiary.
