Update: Decomposed body found in river still not identified say police

The body had already start to decompose and is believed to have been in the river for a few days

The gruesome sight of a body floating in the Klip River greeted residents in Steadville on Wednesday (August 8).

Residents from the area quickly contacted police about the body of a women in the river.

According to them, the dead woman was found face down and without any pants in knee-deep water.

The age of the deceased is believed to be around 35.

Police say that their detectives are investigating an inquest docket in regards to the recovery

The deceased has not yet been identified.
