Three suspects aged between 24 and 39 were arrested yesterday (August 15) during the early hours of the morning by Estcourt police.

On Tuesday at 11.30pm a truck driver who was travelling along the N3 near the Colenso policing precinct, transporting eight vehicles when he was allegedly hijacked by unknown armed suspects driving a VW Polo.
A case of hijacking was filed at the Colenso police station and assigned to the Ladysmith Vehicle Identification Unit for investigation.
Three vehicles including the suspects’ vehicle were recovered and are being kept at the Estcourt policing precinct.

Police are still on the outlook for two of the four stolen vehicles. The suspects will appear in the Colenso Magistrates Court later today.
