Mrs Enslin explained that clean water is flooding her front yard since the beginning of the year, making it difficult to mow the grass. Despite several calls to the district and local municipality, the water leak continues.

“I have it all written in my diary, each call I make and the time that I’m put on hold between our local municipality and UThukela District Municipality, both have been playing the blame game,” she said with annoyance.

The overflowing fire hydrant has been checked once following the multiple reports. Recently an uThukela District Municipality employee informed Mrs Enslin that parts have been ordered to repair the fire hydrant. Mrs Enslin has not seen any repairs since.
