Local cleaning company cleans SPCA

Local cleaning company offers their assistance and help in cleaning Newcastle's SPCA.

A friendly pack of hounds always greets visitors at the SPCA door, including bright-eyed Pikkie. The smell, however, has not always been as welcoming, which comes with the territory when looking after so many animals.

That is all about to change

Local cleaning company, Rent-AMaid, has opted to hold its trainin sessions on the SPCA premises and the result will be sparkling clean offices. A delighted Heather Gero jumped at the chance of collaborating with Charnè Engelbrecht,

“I was so excited at the opportunity. This sort of environment is not always easy to spring-clean so having someone able to get into all the nooks and crannies is just amazing,”

The collaboration will see both the SPCA and Charnè’s business benefit.

Lindiwe Mbangulu would rather play with Jessica the cat.

Charnè is a huge supporter of the SPCA, as she is an animal lover herself and she really appreciates the service Heather, Nel Vujk and the SPCA team deliver to the local community and for the care they give to the animals.

“Cleaning training onsite will prepare our domestic workers for a pet friendly  environment and with customer interaction when providing their services,” she explained.

Charnè assures the plan is a permanent arrangement – not just a once off.

“We honestly appreciate any form of help from members of our community. It does not have to be monetary and the smallest acts of kindness go a long way here,” concluded Heather.

SPCA visitors can look forward to a fresh, welcoming smell permeating the air  throughout the offices now that they are as clean as a whistle.
