Help the poor by donating a can
The drop-off points in Ladysmith are at AK’s, the Islamic Educational Centre and 14 Dromedaris Street
The Gift of the Givers Foundation is appealing to the community to please support their ‘1 Man 1 Can’ initiative.
They have 65 drop-off points countrywide. Three of these are in Ladysmith: at AK’s, the Islamic Educational Centre (IEC) and at 14 Dromedaris Street.
As the national co-ordinator, Shireen Vorajee of the Ladysmith Women’s Forum initiated the campaign, together with Gift of the Givers. The cut-off date is December 7.
The message from the foundation is: “Humanity has no bounds of colour, creed or religion, so we beg every citizen in our beautiful town of Ladysmith to contribute.”
