Schools drive to fund raising success

The Drive 4 UR School campaign, was held in conjunction with the Ford Motor Company SA, embarked on an exciting marketing plan to assist local schools.

Between them, six local schools benefitted from the Fedauto Drive 4 UR School project that raised a whopping R47 000.

A closed function was held at the dealership recently, so Fedauto staff could thank the participating schools which included Dundee Pre Primary, Dundee Junior and High, Pro Nobis, Uelzen and Sarel Cilliers.

The Drive 4 UR School campaign, was held in conjunction with the Ford Motor Company SA, embarked on an exciting marketing plan to assist local schools.

Karin Schwartz, of Fedauto, took this project under her wing, and with the support of the sales team, Karin explained that the fundraiser involved arranging parents, teachers and anybody willing to support the schools to come and experience a test drive in one of many Ford motor vehicles.

For every test drive, the school earned R100. The project was a huge success, and in total, 535 test drives were undertaken over an estimated total of 250 km.

“Pro Nobis topped the rest by arranging a small ‘market’ of handmade crafts by their learners, and recorded a whopping 135 test drives,” Karin added.

As for the schools, they were ever grateful for the support which saw the Drive 4 UR School campaign being run alongside other school-related events – such as golf days, colour runs, fun runs etc. – to ensure maximum support from parents.

It was also a great way to bring the various schooling communities together in a positive way and in that way, aid education.
