Boulevard Centre clamps down on illegal parking

Motorists are warned that no exemptions will be made and no preferential treatment will be given

The days of errant motorists parking in disabled pays at the Dundee Boulevard Centre are over.

The centre is now a wheel clamping area and any unauthorized vehicle will be clamped.

Motorists who park in a disabled bay without displaying a valid disabled permit will have their wheels clamped. Parking outside a non-demarcated parking area, parking in a no parking yellow zone and parking in a way that causes obstructions are also offences which see your vehicle clamped.

Centre Manager, Trudy Van Wyk Franz said that for the past two weeks, they have advertised on Facebook and at notice boards around the centre that it was now a wheel clamping zone. There are also three signs on the gates of the centre and two at the disabled bays, warning people.

Motorists are warned that no exemptions will be made and no preferential treatment will be given.

They are also urged not to attempt to bribe or argue with the guards when clamped.
