Petrol price might go up again in February

The Automobile Association has predicted that petrol will go up by eight cents a litre

It was like a late Christmas present for motorists when the petrol price dropped at the beginning of this year…

However, the festive season is over and the bad news is that the price is expected to rise once again in February.

The Automobile Association (AA) has predicted that petrol will go up by eight cents a litre, while diesel goes down by three cents a litre.

The association says next month’s prediction shows that illuminating paraffin will be nine cents cheaper.

Petrol went down by over R1.20 a litre at the start of the year. Let’s all cross our fingers and hope that the downward trend continues and that a price increase does not materialise.
