‘Every second is precious’ says Chris Marais
“It’s not difficult to appreciate the time I get to spend with my little girl,” explains Chris Marais. “Every time we get into our vehicles and rush off for a call out or an emergency, we can’t be sure if we’re coming home or not..."
If you want to know what genuine love looks like, just watch how little Mia Marais looks at her father, Chris.
Chris is a prominent personality in the emergency services field in Vryheid, working as a tow truck operator, and also dedicates a substantial amount of his time to community safety. He serves as spokesperson for Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch and is an active patrol member.
Far more than that however, Chris is a loving father to Mia and although he is well known for his big heart, his little girl occupies the largest part of it.
“It’s not difficult to appreciate the time I get to spend with my little girl,” explains Chris. “Every time we get into our vehicles and rush off for a call out or an emergency, we can’t be sure if we’re coming home or not. Every second that I spend with her is precious.”
