Free medical services and the gift of education and life

CANSA Newcastle volunteers also offered assistance in educating the attendees on the signs of cancer and the treatment that is available.

Residents of Lennoxton and surrounding areas gathered at the HPS Centre on Sunday, June 9 for the much anticipated HPS Blood Camp and Wellness Day.

Residents were treated to free medical services such as vital signs checks, including checking blood pressure and blood glucose levels, cholesterol testing, free medical and legal advice, CANSA lifestyle assessments and B12 injections.

They also had the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life by donating blood to the SANBS blood bank, and boost the blood supply.

CANSA Newcastle volunteers also offered assistance in educating the attendees on the signs of cancer and the treatment that is available.

“It was a successful Wellness Day and we look forward to the next one,” said organisers.
